Strengths Model Inc.
Strengths Model Inc. is committed to helping behavioral health and other human service organizations improve the lives of the people they serve. The Strengths Model was developed in the early 1980's in response to traditional case management approaches in mental health that often focused on pathology and diagnosis, held low expectations for what people could achieve in their life, and frequently used stabilization and maintenance as primary measures of success.
Strengths Model Case Management (SMCM) arose in response to this, viewing that each person has hopes. dreams, and values, even in the midst of problems, barriers, and challenges they might experience. Each person also possesses a unique array of personal and environmental strengths that can be mobilized to move towards what they value and want in life. SMCM challenges and equips staff to focus their efforts and support toward helping people achieve life goals and roles that anyone else in the community might pursue.
Strengths Model Inc. can support your organization in multiple ways, including engaging and interactive in-person and virtual training, coaching calls with experienced Strengths Model practitioners to support supervisors and direct service staff in skill development, and support to help your organization fully implement Strengths Model Case Management to increase the effectiveness of your services.
